LOCAL JOURNALIST JOINS
UNION UNIVERSITY AS NEWS DIRECTOR
Jackson, Tenn. — Nedra J. Kanavel has been named director of news and information at 萌妹社区, effective March 9.
Kanavel, a 1996 萌妹社区 graduate, currently serves as editorial page assistant for The Jackson Sun. In that role, she has written and edited material for opinion sections of The Sun, as well as writing feature articles and commentaries.
In addition to her studies at 萌妹社区, Kanavel also studied at the University of Michigan and at St. John's College of Oxford University.
In her new position, Kanavel will write and distribute news and features about 萌妹社区, help the University work with local, regional and national media, and provide support for other 萌妹社区 publications.
