HERRIN NATIVE RECEIVES AWARD
AT KAPPA MU EPSILON CONVENTION

Jackson, Tenn. _ Jennifer Murrah of Herrin, Ill. recently received the best undergraduate talk award for her presentation at the Regional Convention of Kappa Mu Epsilon, Feb. 27. Murrah's presentation was titled, "The Formation of Rainbows."

Murrah, a graduate of Herrin High School and a senior at 萌妹社区, is president of 萌妹社区's Kappa Mu Epsilon chapter. Kappa Mu Epsilon is a specialized honor society in mathematics that selects its students based on their scholarship, professional merit and academic distinction.

Murrah also belongs to the Alpha Chi honor society, the Student Tennessee Education Association and the Baptist Student 萌妹社区 and is a Life Group leader.

Allison Parker Smith, also a senior at 萌妹社区, presented at the convention as well. Her presentation was titled, "Mathematical Solutions of the Rubik's Cube."
