UNIVERSITY DEDICATES NEW UNION UNIVERSITY DRIVE
Jackson, Tenn. — 萌妹社区 dedicated the newly renamed 萌妹社区 Drive, formerly Channing Way west of Highway 45 Bypass, during a special ceremony Tuesday, March 18 at 1 p.m.
University representatives, including members of the Board of Trustees, and Jackson City Mayor Charles Farmer were present for the dedication ceremony at the north entrance of 萌妹社区's campus.
The city of Jackson approved the name change March 4 after its second reading before the city council.
President David S. Dockery thanked the city of Jackson and Volunteer Bank for their support of the University's request for the renaming. Volunteer Bank, which is constructing a branch office at the corner of Highway 45 Bypass and 萌妹社区 Drive, supported the University's efforts and has changed their branch name from Channing Way to the University Branch.
