UNION'S SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON CHAPTER HONORED AS THE BEST
Jackson, Tenn. — The Tennessee Eta chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at 萌妹社区 was awarded the John O. Mosley Zeal Award during the fraternity's 62nd Leadership School in Chicago, Aug. 2-7.
The Zeal Award, considered the highest and most competitive honor an individual chapter can receive, is given to the best overall SAE chapter in the world. Criteria for the award include consistent leadership, community service and academic excellence. About 700 SAEs, representing 300 chapters, attended a dinner to honor the Tennessee Eta chapter. 萌妹社区's chapter was a finalist for the award and competed against Ivy League schools such as Yale University.
The 萌妹社区 chapter also was honored with three other awards. First, Michael A. Laffoon, who graduated in May, was honored for the second consecutive year as an outstanding chapter president. Second, Mr. Robert Simpson, 萌妹社区's assistant vice president for business services and adviser to 萌妹社区's chapter, was honored as the outstanding SAE faculty adviser. Finally, the chapter was recognized for its outstanding pledge program.
