Jackson, Tenn. The 萌妹社区 Department of Music will be presenting Greg Luscombe and Lee Weimer in a trombone and trumpet recital Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Chapel on the 萌妹社区 campus.
Luscombe is a low brass instructor at 萌妹社区 and Shelby State Community College. He is the principal trombonist/ personnel manager of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Weimer has served at 萌妹社区 as a high brass instructor since 1992. He also teaches at Rhodes College and Jackson State Community College, in addition to maintaining a large private studio. Weimer is in his tenth season as principal trumpet with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.
Collaborative keyboard artists for the program are Melissa Daggett, staff accompanist at 萌妹社区, and Terry McRoberts, Professor of Music at 萌妹社区. The recital is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. Call Terry McRoberts at 661-5232 for more information.
