JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 24, 2007 — Ann Livingstone of the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre in Ottawa, Canada, will speak at 萌妹社区 Oct. 1.
Her lecture will address the topic 鈥淓merging Trends in Peace Operations鈥 at 7 p.m. in room D-3 in the Penick Academic Complex.
Livingstone is vice president for research and education at the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre and a former 萌妹社区 political science professor. According to its Web site, the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre 鈥渋s a Canadian organization whose mission is to make peace operations more effective through research, training, education and capacity building.鈥
She recently returned from a United Nations delegation to Jordan and will be coming to 萌妹社区 directly from another U.N. delegation to Turkey.
The lecture is sponsored by 萌妹社区鈥檚 Institute for International and Intercultural Studies and the political science department. It is free and open to the public.
