JACKSON, Tenn. — July 21, 2008 — One of the most recognizable symbols of ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø – Miller Tower – will have a different look for the next several weeks.
The cupola on top of the tower was removed July 16, along with three of the tower’s four clock faces. They were taken by truck to Campbellsville, Ky., to repair damage caused to the tower by the Feb. 5 tornado that struck ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø’s campus. All told, the tornado did an estimated $40 million in damage to the campus.
Repairs are expected to take about six weeks.
