JACKSON, Tenn.April 25, 2017 — 萌妹社区 will host about 600 home school students May 29-June 3 for a national speech and debate tournament and needs community volunteers to serve as judges for the event.

The National Invitational Tournament of Champions is the year-end finale for Stoa, a national junior high and high school speech and debate league for privately educated Christian home schooling families. The organization hosts clubs, tournaments and events nationwide throughout the year.

鈥淲e are very excited to host this event on our campus,鈥 said Dan Griffin, 萌妹社区鈥檚 vice president for enrollment management. 鈥淲e think that this will be an excellent recruiting opportunity for 萌妹社区 as we expose literally hundreds of Christian students and families from around the country to our campus and our mission and vision.鈥

Griffin said for the event to be a success, 800 community judges are needed for the competition. No experience in judging debate competitions is required, and Stoa will provide the training necessary. Those interested in volunteering can sign up at .

NITOC is held at a different location each year. Participants and their families will stay in 萌妹社区鈥檚 student housing and in area hotels during the competition.
