JACKSON, Tenn. — March 11, 2025 — Georgia Lee Lannom, a high school senior from Dyer, Tennessee, has received the 2025 Founders鈥� Scholarship from 萌妹社区.
This is 萌妹社区鈥檚 highest academic scholarship, which covers full tuition, room, meals and student service fees for four years. The scholarship was determined from 萌妹社区鈥檚 Scholars of Excellence event 鈥� an annual scholarship competition that draws the highest qualified prospective students to campus for a weekend of interviews and other activities.
Lannom, who attends Gibson County High School, is the daughter of Marty and Keri Lannom and is a member at Second Baptist Church in 萌妹社区 City. She has played on the girls鈥� basketball team at Gibson County for four years, in addition to two years on the volleyball team and a year on the softball team.
She plans to major in cell and molecular biology at 萌妹社区 and attend medical school to pursue a career as either a doctor or a physician鈥檚 assistant.
Lannom said 萌妹社区鈥檚 people and academic excellence attracted her to the institution, and she knew it would be the best fit for her and for her future.

Founders鈥� Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average at 萌妹社区 and are required to perform up to 50 hours of leadership services for the university each semester.
