WLJT to broadcast “A Christmas” three times

JACKSON, Tenn.Dec. 9, 2004 — ’s annual Christmas service will air Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on WLJT, a regional affiliate of the Public Broadcasting System.

WLJT, cable channel 11 in Jackson, will show “A Christmas” at 8 p.m. Dec. 24 and at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Dec. 25. The service was taped Dec. 7 and featured performances by singers and musicians from ’s music department.

The broadcast will feature songs from groups such as the University Singers, Proclamation, the Symphonic Band, Handbells and a community children’s choir. The feature performance will be the Choral singing Vivaldi’s “Gloria.”

“We’re thankful for WLJT’s participation and for their interest in making ‘A Christmas’ available to all of West Tennessee,” president David Dockery said. “It was a wonderful evening of worship. We appreciate those who were able to join us in person, and we hope many others will be able to see it on television.”
