JACKSON, Tenn. — April 23, 2008 — 萌妹社区鈥檚 Students In Free Enterprise team will compete in the national SIFE competition in Chicago the week of May 12, after winning its 14th straight regional competition March 20 in Atlanta, Ga.
The 39 colleges and universities that competed in the regional competition were divided into seven leagues. 萌妹社区 competed against Southern Adventist University, Kennesaw State University, Bryan College, Alabama State University and Fort Valley State University in its league.
SIFE chapters are judged mainly on the projects they complete during the year. Among the projects completed by the 萌妹社区 chapter of SIFE were the annual Junior SIFE competition, in which sixth graders from Madison County come to 萌妹社区鈥檚 campus for a trade show and marketing competition; the SIFE Squares game show; and 鈥淭each a Child to Learn, Teach a Child to Earn,鈥� in which 萌妹社区 SIFE students collect and distribute books to children at Whitehall Elementary School.
