JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 23, 2001 — 萌妹社区 professor Naomi Larsen has been awarded with the National Council on Family Relations' Certified Family Life Educator Designation award.
Larsen, who is the chair of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, received the honor for her proven knowledge in ten family life substance areas. These areas include families and society, internal family dynamics, human growth and development, human sexuality, interpersonal relationships, family resource management, parent education, family law and public policy, ethics, and family life education methodology.
Larsen holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Iowa State University, with minors in Psychology and Gerontology. Her areas of specialization are family and social psychology. In 1998, Larsen developed a family studies program for the sociology & social work area at 萌妹社区.
